Mario Álvarez Mánica. Mexican-born filmmaker based in Vancouver, Canada. Studied Cinematography at the Escuela Veracruzana de Cine Luis Buñuel in Mexico and Film Production at Vancouver Film School in Canada. He has collaborated short films as an editor and colourist. In 2018 he was a member of the Mezcal Jury at the Guadalajara International Film Festival and Youth Price Jury at the Bogota International Film Festival. In 2017 he directed his first short Documentary “Saved from the Waters” which has been screened in film festivals all over Mexico, Spain, and Latin America.
